MutEmoticons

This mutator overrides the game's Heads up Display in order to translate text emoticons to pictured emoticons just like on your regular used instant message messenger.

Config

You may modify the list of emoticons, or even add new emoticons via the corresponding .ini file for MutEmoticons.

If you don't see any .ini file then you can create your own very easily by simply creating a text file with the content of [MutEmoticons.MutEmoticons]. Rename the file extension from .txt to .ini and you're done, now you can list your own emoticons!

Simply insert a new line under the [MutEmoticons.MutEmoticons], with the following content: Smileys=(Event="TEXT_EMOTICON",Icon=Texture'PACKAGE.GROUP.PICTURE_EMOTICON')
Make sure that your package holding the specified texture(s) is listed in the ServerPackages list within the UT2004.ini file!


MutEmoticons is derived from the Assault's Plus mode which was developed by .:..:(Marco) along with the emoticons system. This mutator integrates that functionality into all supported gametypes with the additional feature of adding your own emoticons.
